Anagram for the Day
Kitten Mice Puzzle

If four kittens can catch four mice in four minutes...

...how many mice can twelve kittens catch in twelve minutes?

Solution (Previous Puzzle):

300.

Start with: 9, 19, 29, 39, 49, 59, 69, 79, 89, 90, 91, 92, 93, 94, 95, 96, 97, 98, 99 - which is 20 9's.

We then repeat this for 100, 200, 300, up to 900 - which is 200 9's.

But from 900 to 999 we have an extra 100 9's as each starts with a 9.

So the total is 300.

An anagram is a word made by using letters of another word in a different order.
Example: shot à host

Find the anagram for the following:

Relation
Reserved
Roasting

Solution (Previous):
POINTERS : PROTEINS
RECITALS : ARTICLES
REFINING : INFRINGE

Podcast for the Day
In the first two lessons of this series on space-time, we've dealt with objects moving at constant speeds, with straight world lines, in space-time. But what happens when you throw gravity into the mix? In this third and final lesson, CERN scientists Andrew Pontzen and Tom Whyntie explore what gravity means for space-time -- or rather, what space-time means for gravity.
In this programme, Dan and Neil talk about man's best friend - the dog, and teach you six items of vocabulary.
