Anagram for the Day

Word Puzzle

Which four letter word can be placed between the two following words to make two new ones:

ARM[...]STAND

Solution (Previous Puzzle):

Brian robbed the Post Office.

We know that each of them told the truth in one of the statements and lied in the other.

So according to Alan, as one of his statements is false, it must have been either Derek or Brian.

If it was Derek then Brian's statements would both be true, which isn't allowed.

Therefore it was Brian, which agrees with Charles and Derek's statements.

An anagram is a word made by using letters of another word in a different order.
Example: shot à host

Find the anagram for the following:

Reap
Rope
Rose

Solution (Previous):
RACE : CARE, ACRE
RATS : STAR, ARTS, STARS
REAM : MARE
